Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour 2012 kickstarts in Mumbai The 8th edition of the Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour 2012 kicked off at the Mehboob Studio on 2nd September 2012 as glamour coupled with fashion,style and elegance came alive
Each year, the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour hits a host of Indian cities in a bid to promote the works of leading designers across the country.The 8th edition saw 13 designers reveal a creation each from their forthcoming collections.

Mumbai,2ndSept.2012. (Sachin Murdeshwar) : It was an intoxicating feast of fashion, style and elegance amongst the historic ambience of Mehboob Studio as glamour came alive on September 2 2012 for the 8th edition of Seagram’s Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2012 (BPFT) extravaganza that dazzled the media.
Blenders Pride hosted this special preview in Mumbai when chic, glamour and style blended to create a sense of ultra-fashion from the 13 designers who each revealed a creation from their collection at the media preview.Against a raw wooden backdrop with the Blenders Pride emblems splashed across it, a stark white tiered stage emerged to set the mood for a truly glittering Sunday afternoon.
Ashish N Soni had the handsome cricketer, Shaun Tait wearing a relaxed navy kurta shirt with narrow black trousers teamed with an optical print two button jacket. Asmita Marwa brought in the very dashing Rana Daggubati of “Dum Maro Dum” fame in a stylish silk green and khaki abstract batik print shirt. Gaviin Miguel went very dreamy and romantic with his muse Lisa Hayden who looked ethereal in a micro mini that was looped and draped in white/grey cloud of organza with an embroidered belt and sparkling straps.
Mandira Wirk was inspired by the pretty petit, Shazhan Padamsee who looked adorable in a baby pink net long trail which flowed from a tiny shimmering mini with shoulder ruffles. Nandita Mahtani gave the delicately beautiful, Amrita Rao a vibrant chiffon shocking fuchsia tiered one shoulder gown with draped bodice. Neeta Lulla’s vision for the sexy, Gauhar Khan was a figure hugging corset mini draped with a lace sheath and covered with a sheer black midi cover. Nida Mahmood’s quirky style was just perfect for the sprightly, Kalki Koechlin wearing a multi print mini with tiny collar and a striking red belt. Pankaj & Nidhi known for their very intricate cutwork this time worked on gold for actress, Neha Dhupia who looked stunning in a cropped top with an asymmetrical hemline and teamed with black tights.
Raghavendra Rathore moved in to the male domain, with the very stylish Prateik wearing a sleek purple silk kurta, white churidars and topped with an embroidered long waistcoat. Falguni & Shane Peacock renowned for their very dramatic creations had the very exotic, Sameera Reddy draped in a white gold stretch fish tail gown with crystal embroidery on the bodice. Shantanu & Nikhil brought in romance with their ultra-glamorous gold silk gown with khari worked tulle and gold embroidery all layered to perfection with drapes for the slender, Sara Jane Dias. Vikram Phadnis presented ethnic traditional elegance with an ivory tulle kalidaar kurta with gorgeous sequins and gotta work on the border and a lush dupatta which looked superb on Perizaad Zorabian. Finally Wendell Rodricks had Evelyn Sharma in a bright orange, yellow and maroon sexy cutaway gown with high slit in a luxurious blend.

The face of BPFT is the fashion icon Priyanka Chopra photographed by ace lens man Bharat Sikka. As event ambassador Priyanka is the ideal global fashionista who will be a super attraction. As the BPFT 2012 starts its stylish journey through the six cities it will be a celebration of the best in fashion from the top couturiers of the country which will thrill fashion lovers.
