CBI & MasterCard collaborate to launch an array of new cards
Mumbai,Sept.26,2012. (Sachin Murdeshwar): In a glittering function on 25th Sep 2012, Central Bank
of India launched an array of credit, debit & prepaid cards products to meet
the needs of today’s consumer.
The bank has launched three debit cards (International shopping
debit card, Platinum Debit Card and Nexgen debit card for minors), two credit
cards ( World Credit Card, Co- branded card with Indian Dental Association) and
a Student Prepaid card for disbursement of scholarship. These cards
comes
with bouquet of features like free Air Ticket, petrol, Surcharge waiver, loyalty points, airport lounge access, insurance cover and many more offers & value additions.

The bank also introduced on-line deposit product for its net
banking customers. Central bank Of India is first public sector bank to launch
such product. Bank also launched railway ticketing through IRCTC portal.
The card can be used for almost all requirements, be it
shopping, buying movie tickets, dining out, fuelling up your vehicle, booking
railway tickets, hospitals, on e- commerce platforms- just about any financial
requirement, whether planned or impulsive.
Mr. T. V. Seshadri, Division President, South Asia,
MasterCard Worldwide, said, that MasterCard continually look for ways to create
stronger connections with customers by providing innovative products that are
customer centric.
Chief Guest Padaashree Prof N Balakrishnan, appreciated
the innovative steps taken by Central Bank Of India and said by citing examples
that upcoming intelligent computer technology will change the way customer bank
today.
