Mumbai, June 3, 2019 (HPN) : The 7thAnnual Shriram Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism were presented in four categories at a gala awards function organised by the Shriram Group on 31st May 2019 at the Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai. Mr. Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Shriram Capital and Prof. R. Vaidyanathan, Professor of Finance, IIMB[Retd] and Cho S. Ramaswamy Chair Professor at Sastra University, Tanjore , Tamil Nadu felicitated all the awardees.
Mr. Prem Shankar Jha was conferred with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 7th Edition of the Shriram Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism.

The event was attended by distinguished personalities from various walks of life including bureaucrats and corporates from the public and private sectors who encouraged the awardees.

The Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Chennai played an important and independent role in the selection process by scrutinizing the nominations and making them available for the Jury Members for their consideration.
The jury comprises some of India’s most respected public personalities such as Mr. Gopal Srinivasan (Chairman & Managing Director – TVS Capital Funds Ltd), Mr. Srinivasan K. Swamy (Chairman & Managing Director, R. K. Swamy BBDO), Ms. Ashu Suyash (MD & CEO, CRISIL), Mr. Adit Jain (Chairman, IMA Asia), Mr. Swaminathan S. Aiyar (Consulting Editor of Economic Times) , Mr. T.N Ninan (Chairman, Business Standard, Mr. A. K.
